SERVICE 

We are a West Texas-based company that takes pride in our service.  Some of the services we offer are investigations services, the process of service, and the service of a polygraph examination. You may have noticed but we have expanded beyond these areas into other areas as our training, experience, and demand have allowed.  My name is James L. Johnson, I own and operate West Central Texas Services (WCTS). We are located at 917 South Abe Street, Suite A-2 in San Angelo, TX. Our telephone number is (325) 277-9325.  Regarding the service aspect, I served our great country in the military for over 23 years and worked in Law Enforcement in the city of San Angelo, Texas for 24+ years.  Serving has been my life and I plan on continuing to serve. Here I offer you some information on who I am.  I am a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and the United States Army.  I spent 20 years with the USAF, four as a financial specialist, and sixteen years as a Security Forces member in the USAF Reserves. I then spent the next three years with the U.S. Army/ Texas National Guard in Criminal Investigations as a Special Agent before retiring. I am incredibly thankful the U. S. Army National Guard allowed me to retain the Special Agent title in retirement. I have also worked for twenty-four-plus years as a  full-time Law Enforcement officer. I have worked as a patrol officer, a crime scene investigator, a police detective/investigator, and a polygraph examiner.  I attended and completed the Texas Department of Public Safety Polygraph School in 2001 and have attended training faithfully.  I have extensive training and real-world experience in interviewing and statement analysis. Overall, I hold an Associate of Applied Science, a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Criminal Justice, a 900-hour Diploma in Forensic Science, and over 4000 training hours. 

As a certified, professional hypnotist, I have several certifications and still study almost daily.  As I learned and developed in both polygraph and hypnosis, I learned and saw a close connection between the two sciences. Those of you familiar with either will know the name John A. Larson, Ph.D., MD, a gifted American psychologist, researcher, and scholar, also instrumental in the development of the polygraph machine and theory. Larson was also instrumental in the development of Milton Erickson, MD,  the world's greatest-known hypnotist while they both worked at Arizona State Hospital in Phoenix, AZ.

As of August, 2011 , I received certification  in Hypnotherapy training.  I have studied hypnosis since the mid-1980's and recently decided to seek certification. According to the U. S. Department of Labor, the definition of a polygraph is as follows:

1. A lie detector includes a polygraph, deceptograph, voice stress analyzer, psychological stress evaluator, or similar device (whether mechanical or electrical) used to render a diagnostic opinion as to the honesty or dishonesty of an individual.

2. A polygraph means an instrument that records continuously, visually, permanently, and simultaneously changes in cardiovascular, respiratory, and electrodermal patterns as minimum instrumentation standards and is used to render a diagnostic opinion as to the honesty or dishonesty of an individual.
